vpxPrint viewer

The vpxPrint viewer (vpxPrint.exe) is a self-executing command-line program to preview and/or print vpxPrint reports.

 

Syntax:

vpxprint fileName   [ -NOPREVIEW | -PREVIEW ]  [ -DEBUG ]

 

Parameters:

-NOPREVIEW        disables the preview even if a <PREVIEW> tag exists in the file,

-PREVIEW        previews the file even if there is no <PREVIEW> tag exists,

-DEBUG                debugging mode (4GL)

The standard suffix for vpxPrint file is ".xpr". If this file extension is linked to vpxPrint.exe, files can be viewed or printed with a double click in the explorer window.

vpxPrint.exe can be freely used and distributed. It allows PREVIEWING of vpxPrint files without grayed pages, even if the user is not registered.
If a correct vpxPrint license exists, then the print buttons are visible in the preview screen.

vpxPrint.exe does not create export files like images or pdf files. That's normal, to avoid any file overlap when clicking on a xpr file from within the Windows Explorer window.

Calling vpxPrint from 16 bits programs.
Another usage of the viewer is the ability to be called by 16 bits (or 32 bits) versions of programs (like PROGRESS from V7 to 8.1) via a executeAndWait, waitFor, WinExec or shellExecute call.

 

 

You can send and exchange your XPR files with the vpxPrint viewer (or with the PDF option).
